Location: The Printworks, Withy Grove, Manchester
Date night. Sometimes it can be a real nightmare agreeing where to go, what to do, and most importantly - what to eat! With Valentines Day just around the corner, it's time to start contemplating where you can spend the evening with your partner - or just that person you're trying to impress, as food can be a REALLY BIG DEAL. Plus, sometimes co-op flowers or a box of chocolates just won't cut it so it's important to make it a night to remember. For my beloved Manchester readers, you'll know that in the heart of Manchester's bustling city centre lies The Printworks, but if you aren't from here, The Printworks is a place packed with an array of restaurants and attractions - making it the ultimate spot for a date. Plus, with so much choice, you're sure to find something you can both agree on... even if one of you is a little bit picky.

Wagamama Manchester Printworks
I've never visited Wagamama before but I'm a huge fan of asian cuisine. After doing some stalking of the website and checking out the menu, my mouth watering of course, I decided I had to order myself some Ramen. I chose the Wagamama Ramen which was packed full of flavour, but there's a really good range of Japanese dishes to choose from as well as drinks. The staff in particular were so lovely too - my boyfriend asked how to use chopsticks and the waitress very kindly showed us, and she was super attentive to our needs with the food arriving in quick time. The only thing I will say about the venue is that as it was a Saturday night, it was absolutely heaving, which is something to bear in mind and if you're worried, book a spot at a restaurant beforehand to ensure you're not disappointed. One of the great things about heading for food at The Printworks though is that there's so much choice - from Nando's to the Hard Rock Cafe, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

We left Wagamama feeling very full and consequently very happy. Our next stop for the evening was to the ODEON, which is situated just a two minute walk away from the restaurant - very handy when you're carrying a food baby. Our chosen film had to of course be T2 Trainspotting, which didn't disappoint and was really nostalgic for fans, paying homage to the first film with loads of flashbacks and once again, an epic soundtrack. The ODEON is a great spot as you can walk out of the restaurant and straight into the film, or if you have a bit of time to kill there's plenty of food stalls including a Ben & Jerry's to tuck into and a huge arcade to play on. As the ODEON is such a huge cinema, you're bound to catch a film you really want to see at a showing that suits you, too.
Date Night at The Printworks 💕
After enjoying an incredible date it was time to head home. As The Printworks is situated in the centre of the city it's incredibly easy to get yourself home, plus there're loads of local bars and nightclubs if you don't fancy turning in just yet, such as Tiger Tiger or The Birdcage. Walking through the city over the weekend was magical as Manchester celebrated Chinese New Year, and the city was filled with lit up warriors, red twinkling lights and lanterns hanging from the trees! If you're planning a Valentine's Day to remember, dinner and a film at The Printworks Manchester is bound to impress and cater to all your needs.
