Made For Adventure

Location: River Mersey, Didsbury, Greater Manchester

I'm a girl who loves seeking out new places to go, and getting my hands dirty. I'm also a girl who loves acrylic manicures, makeup, and looking bang on trend. We all know that when it's monsooning outside (Welcome to Manchester) or you're trekking through puddles of mud, you don't always feel exactly...on fleek. That is why my CAT boots are the perfect accessory for adventure, and the ideal addition to my shoe collection. Durable, comfortable and chic, I don't have to worry about sore, cold or wet feet, and can enjoy the sights instead. So, making the most of the bipolar weather we've been having up here in Manchester lately, I headed for a little walk to my favourite spot at the River Mersey, to enjoy nature, and get muddy - without worrying whether it would rain or shine.

Boots: CAT Footwear | Waterfall Coat: Pretty Little Thing

Pairing my Colorado boots with my light waterfall coat from PLT, I enjoyed the sunshine grazing the sights that lie just outside of the city. I love my boots because they can be styled with just about anything; whether it's tights and a skirt, a dress, jeans or even waterproof trousers, they can ensure that even the most daring thrill seekers are still looking on point.

Topshop velvet choker.
Choker: Topshop

One of the hottest trends this year has of course been the choker, and currently, I'm obsessed with Topshop's wide range of velvet chokers in an assortment of colours. I love wearing this red velvet one to add a pop of colour to a dark outfit such as this, and it makes the perfect match with my red lipstick in the evening.

So there you have it, even when you're heading for a muddy, windy walk down the river you can still find staple pieces to ensure you look and feel fab. What's your alternative to a fleece when embarking on an adventure? Let me know in the comment section below and don't forget to check out my social media below for more outfits!
