Autumn in the city is something I adore and look forward to all year. The hustle and bustle doesn't feel so strained or difficult, and there's a faint sense of excitement in the air knowing that Christmas and all its festivities such as the German markets we have up here, and the lights, and the Arndale grotto, and all that jazz will be arriving in just a matter of weeks. Mancs don't know how to do summer, but we sure are prepared when it comes to Autumn. Kettle boiled, hood up, umbrella intact with a brave face for the cold, we moan and complain but deep down maybe we love it.
I found this absolute beauty of a coat in River Island, and I am in love! I really like the over-sized, dramatic faux-fur collar which I feel gives the look more class along with the shiny gold buckles that lie around the cuffs. I also love that it's a deep burgundy instead of black - as I always find myself buying black jackets and coats! I definitely feel like I stand out from the crowd in this amazing winter warmer.
Earlier this month I featured my favourite Autumn accessories which of course were all from River Island - you can read about them here. This leopard printed satchel was the top of my list, and I love how cute and bright it is and the fact that it can hold my iPhone, purse, lipstick, keys and chewing gum perfectly! As you can see I've also attached my Moschino scarf just to give my outfit and the bag that extra pop of colour!
Public Desire is pretty much the first place I visit these days when looking for a new pair of shoes. I love my Aria Black Ankle boots because they give me just a tiny bit of height but are so comfy and easy to spend the day walking in. You can wear them like I have with some trousers to go shopping in, or match them with a pair of tights and a dress for an evening meal or drink down the pub.
